To say that last night's second presidential debate was "unkind," might be an understatement. All of that changed though just before the conclusion when Karl Becker, a town-hall participant, asked the very last question. "My question to both of you is, regardless of the current rhetoric, would either of you name one positive thing that you respect in one another?" Both candidates gave positive responses, but the point it that someone got them back on track. Someone, in this case Karl Becker, used a bit of kindness to remind them how to be civil. If we can all go through our day and each think of one positive thing, how much kinder our world can be!
